Bebryx is a Numidian gladiator in the House of Battiatus.
Dark skinned and with tightly braided hair, Bebryx is a somewhat skilled fighter, though often overconfident.
Swords and AshesEdit
He is injured in the opening fight, stabbed through the shoulder by an opponent's spear.
Later in their cells, he drinks heavily and curses his wound, taking wine from Varro where he has not earned it. The two nearly come to blows, but Spartacus intervenes and gives Bebryx his share of wine instead.
Despite his injuries, Bebryx is determined to take part in the games' primus: an execution ad gladium of ten former gladiators of the House of Pelorus, and adorns himself in the style of Murmillo on Spartacus' advice, to protect his injuries. When the prisoners refuse to fight back, Bebryx gleefully begins killing them. However, his overconfidence proves his undoing when one former gladiator changes his mind and attacks, severing Bebryx' arm and then stabbing him through the heart with his sword.
From the pulvinus, Batiatus does not lament the loss of Bebryx, saying that he had already proved his poor worth as a gladiator earlier this day.
