hair, dark eyes, tanned skin and a lean fighting body.

Personality[]

Duratius is a warrior who respects skill and is more than willingly to denounce and insult others who have little to none of it. He is friends with Rhaskos and willing to prove himself in any combat situation.

Combat Prowess[]

At the Batiatus' Ludus, he is seen practicing with a large warhammer, while he fights professional with an axe in the gladiatoral style of Secutor. His ability in battle is impressive, allowing him to face expert-level opponents and earn a place in a primus match.

Gods of the Arena[]

Duratius mostly trains with Rhaskos in the series, and together they occasionally insult Ashur for his crude actions, like tricking Dagon into giving himself to a man for rough pleasure. Although they showed respect toward Ashur and Dagan's victory in the arena, they showed it with little enthusiasm.

During the testing of all the gladiators, Duratius is paired against Crixus, who defeats him.

During the funeral pyre of Titus Lentulus Batiatus, Duratius is selected as one of the six gladiators, GannicusCrixusRhaskosBarca and Gnaeus, to fight as the Lanista's body is burned. In this bout he is paired to face off against Crixus.

Duratius vs. Caburus.

Duratius fights in the primus of the new arena for the House of Batiatus after successfully fighting throughout the day, alongside Narto, Gannicus, Crixus, Ashur, Gnaeus and Dagan. He brawls down the gladiators (including a Retiarius) with ease, until he faces off against Caburus and is killed off by a powerful strike to the chest from Caburus' shield, being the third and last gladiator of the house of Batiatus to die in the opening games.
