Peirastes is seen living with Spartacus' rebels after the massacre at the ludus. He was a gladiator, and is put in charge of training some of the house slaves how to fight. He also leads the hunt for game from time to time.
Following Spartacus' and his groups victory over a group of Seppius' mercenaries, Peirastes is given weapons from the fallen Romans to give to those that have shown promise from his training. He hands these swords out to the slaves Lysandros, Vitus, and Pyrrhus.
Unfortunately, on their way they are intercepted (off-screen) by the recently arrived soldiers of Gaius Claudius Glaber. The Romans kill all the gladiators in the group, including Peirastes and Aurelia is captured and taken to Glaber.
- Peirastes is one of many gladiators presented in Vengeance that did not appear in Blood and Sand.
- Peirastes, Fulco and Harudes are the only three Rebels that were named and slain in Vengeance, but not mentioned at Crixus' Funeral in War of the Damned.
- The name Peirastes may be derived from the Greek terms Peirates, which is part of etymology of the word 'Pirate'.
Spartacus: "Peirastes! Replace wood with steel, for those who are ready."
