The slave was chained to the walls to be stoned to death for his attempt at escaping from Sinuessa and joining Spartacus and his rebellion. Spartacus, Crixus, and Gannicus are in the crowd in disguise and watch as Laurus spurs the people to stone the slave. The Slave yells out "SPARTACUS" and curses the city and its people with death. Laurus then throws a stone at his mouth, and the other citizens join in. Spartacus realizes that he cannot save him without getting arrested. To end his pain, Spartacus throws a stone hard enough to break his skull open, killing him instantly.
